We Will Be Held Over One Week
Written by John Kelly Tuesday, 15 December 2009 17:04
Turns out there isn't a great clamoring in the club to go to the Roundhouse the day after Christmas and tear down. So for everyone who is lucky enough to get a LEGO train for Christmas this year, be sure and bring it by on Dec. 26th so that you can run it on our layout.
I'll let you work the draw bridges.
GMLTC's First Annual Holiday Ornament
Tuesday, 24 November 2009 18:27
The GMLTC is proud to announce our first ornament just in time for the 2009 holiday season! Our first release, of which we hope to become an annual tradition, is a miniature steam locomotive and tender, made from 62 genuine Lego brick. We are selling these pre-assembled (but not glued) in a presentation-quality display box, ready to hang from your Christmas Tree, Yule log, Hanukkah Bush or just plain push around the living room floor. Complete (re)building instructions are also included should your locomotive need repairs or use them to make additional models.
We plan to have these for sale during our December appearances at the Jackson Street Roundhouse and by mail (shipping starts the first week of December). Our first batch is limited to 100 ornaments and they may sell out at any time. The price is $10 plus shipping ($3.95 for any size order to any destination in the world).>
WARNING: Contains small parts. This toy should NOT be given to children under three years of age.
La Crosse & Three Rivers Train Show
Friday, 09 October 2009 05:42
We're tentatively planning to make an appearance at The La Crosse and 3 Rivers Railroad Club's 29th Annual Model Railroad Show on March 20-21st, 2010. The GMLTC has been attending this show almost every year since the late 90's and it's one our favorite events.
While this is primarily a scale model railroad show, we have been joined by several other Lego train layouts in recent years. This is a real family oriented show and also features doll houses, miniatures, and lots of vendors.
The show runs from 10am to 6pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday and costs $5 for kids (and adults) over 11. For more information please visit the La Crosse and 3 Rivers Web Site.
